CAUSE FOR GOOD CHEER. The Northern Illinois University School of Music brought in jazz pianist Stefan Karlsson from the University of North Texas for a recital. During his performance, he let the audience know that The House Cafe was a great asset to the community, offering an off-campus site for student performances. The coffee is good, and regular readers know that it's also a great place for train-watching.
