BREAKING GRIDLOCK. I saw a truly marvelous Amtrak commercial this evening.

Metra, and the Chicago and North Western before them, have both called the attention of Chicago area commuters to road congestion. That Amtrak is pointing out the delays on the runway is marvelous. It's the best rail effort since Seaboard Coast Line ran advertisements that began "If you want to go to Miami without a stopover in Havana, call us." (That carrier might have been mau-maued into dropping that campaign.)
