A CIRCUS DAY AT COLLEGE.

Illinois State University is home to the Gamma Phi Circus, a program in the College of Applied Science and Technology.

Lyric Hoop.

Saturday was also World Circus Day.

Look closely at the picture, you might see the light sabers being wielded by children.  The median age of the audience is about ten, high for a circus, but a collegiate circus will bring in parents and friends of the performers.  The spotters are performers in other routines, there's no doubling in brass but a lot of filling in as prop roustabouts by the cast.  Clowns, juggling, various acrobatic performances, aerial acts, good show.
