A STEAM SPEED CELEBRATION.

On 3 July 1938, The London and North Eastern Railway claimed a speed record of approximately 126 mph for A4 Pacific Mallard.

Britain's National Railway Museum arranged a 75th Anniversary Gala, reuniting all the surviving Streaks, including Dominion of Canada from Canada and Dwight D. Eisenhower from the States.

There are no Hiawatha Baltics in steam to send their compliments.  The Cold Spring Shops tribute is in O Scale.
