Last week's tribute to White Swan Park included Conneaut Lake Park in the list of late, lamented amusement parks.

Incorrectly.  The park reopened Memorial Day weekend in trusteeship.
This will be the new Trustees of Conneaut Lake Park’s first full season of operating the amusement park. Three of the Trustees’ seven-member volunteer board also are board members of the Economic Progress Alliance of Crawford County, the county’s lead economic development agency, of which [Mark] Turner also is executive director.

The new group of Trustees was put in place by Crawford County Court of Common Pleas in June 2014 after the previous volunteer group resigned. The Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General had filed a petition in county court seeking to oust the old board citing the previous board’s lack of fiduciary responsibility in protecting the park’s assets which are held as a public trust.
The Blue Streak and classic carroussel are operating, as is the Traver Tumble Bug, and the Tilt-A-Whirl (that design is antique too, no?) has fresh paint.
