OUR NEIGHBORS AT WAR. Last Friday's Veteran's Day ceremonies at Northern Illinois included recognition of a few of our students recently returned from theater. Although this post is a bit delayed, as DJ at Polipundit notes, Veteran's Day ought not be given token notice. Go there for additional links.

One of the speakers at the local ceremonies noted that Congress has not been funding medical care for disabled veterans as generously as it might. Our medical technology and our armor enable people to survive injuries that were previously fatal, often at the loss of eyes or limbs. It makes sense for the medical care budgets to reflect those changes.
