NO SAVIOUR FROM ON HIGH DELIVERS. Thus the third stanza of The Internationale distinguishes self-styled revolutionaries from self-styled progressives, characterized by James Lewis at The American Thinker as the "childish left".
The childish Left constantly needs someone to adore -- FDR, JFK, Bill Clinton before the Fall. Even Hillary during her New York senatorial run.
The article is a bit harsh, but it does capture one essential truth: true believers in the Democratic Party are more likely to have high hopes for their nominees, particularly for the presidency, than are true believers in the Republican Party. True believers in the Democratic Party tend to place more confidence in expertise, for which the American Question exists.
