(Hat tip: Common Dreams.) There's more to this problem than meets the eye. Frequently, that access will be by something prosaic, such as a bus. No glamour in building light-rail lines here. At the same time, there's a potential in gains from trade. For some reason, residents of better-off areas find the trolley wires unsightly. Is there some way for the transit planners and the aesthetes to make common cause, stop resurrecting the streetcars, and provide a few more bus routes?
