WIN SOME, WINSOME, LOSE SOME.

Indiana Fever forward Sophie Cunningham quietly joined the return of the hot girl to marketing with a product endorsement.

You can put on a tee-shirt calling attention to your pay packets, or you can come up with a value proposition that supplements your income.

To repeat: It's not as if she has to call attention to her tush, don't those legs do a pretty good job of their own accord?

She and teammate Lexie Hull (the two of them play the 2, 3, or 4 positions in the rotation) also discussed additional marketing strategies.
That prompted their teammate Caitlin Clark, who is still in the body and fender shop, to quip, "Swimsuit brands plz comment 'focus on basketball.'"  The Fever have not been winning much of late.

Not that the WNBA playoff picture is the top story these days.  "Sex toy tossed onto court during WNBA game in Chicago."  A green dildo, to be precise, and that story reported the second such occurrence, both times involving San Francisco's Valkyrie.  Seriously, isn't that team name, well, a little too ... Germanic?
"I mean, first of all, it was super dangerous," Valkyries forward Cecilia Zandalasini said after Tuesday's game. "And then when we found out what it was, I guess we just started laughing. I've never seen anything like that. I'm just glad we worked through that situation. We stayed locked in. We stayed concentrated."
Throwing anything onto the arena floor, other than a hat at the proper time in a hockey game, or a teddy bear in an organized teddy bear toss is a dangerous practice.  Ms Cunningham's persuasive powers have their limits.
In fact, the spectator who disregarded her advice tossed the, um, dildo, at her.  "Sophie Cunningham, who tweeted that everyone should stop throwing these toys during games because someone might get hurt, was hit by the object."
Outkick's Zach Dean likes the lady's spunk.
Sure, we could talk about the NFL-ESPN merger. Or the MLB pennant races. But when Sophie Cunningham nearly gets pelted by a dildo, everything else goes to the backseat.

Sophie nearly became a victim at last night's Fever-Sparks game, and I, frankly, won't stand for that. When you attack Sophie, you attack all of us. Take anyone else. Leave Sophie alone.
Couldn't she put "stop throwing dildos on the court" on a shirt?  Preferably a crop-top?

Meanwhile, in Chicago Thursday night, the dildo was purple.
Some crypto types are claiming to be behind the, um, eruption, and the bookies have gotten in on the action.
Let's see what the weekend brings.
