We recently noted Jewett-built car 316, similarly backdated, with a different paint scheme, at our nearby Fox River Trolley Museum.
Another Jewett car, 320 at the Old Threshers grounds in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, has also had its arch windows restored.
The Old Threshers hold their annual gathering Labor Day weekend, and the other preservation railways will be operating as summer winds down.
After Labor Day, the vintage cars might be back in the car barns for winter work. Enjoy the remaining days of the preservation railway season.
