As a consequence, she has bed sores from sleeping in her wheelchair. The case has gone to court. The trial judge is probably correct in finding it "extraordinary" that no means of lifting the woman has occurred to anybody in the National Health Service. Mr. Taranto, on the other hand, is a bit over the top branding the story "Great Moments in Socialized Medicine." One wonders what his reaction would have been had the powers-that-be at the National Health Service obtained a court order requiring the poor woman to take the muscle medications as a condition of providing the caretaker.
