CONJURING TRICK. If you're a university administrator, the word "access" has for a long time meant "enrolling unprepared students." The conjuring trick the PC crowd has pulled off is to make denial of that reality into a virtue. Namely, anyone crass enough to point out that "protected status" means "admitted with less preparation" is guilty of incorrect thinking for daring to point that out.
