STUDENT CAREER SUCCESS BEGINS ON THE HARDWOOD.

The season might have ended unambiguously for the Northern Illinois women's basketball team (any team still active in conference tournaments when basketball led the way on social distancing can think of itself as a champion, right?) and yet two of the senior honor students will continue to play, this time for pay.  "Former Northern Illinois University women's basketball student-athletes Courtney Woods and Ninni Salmi have signed professional contracts to play overseas in Australia and Sweden respectively." That gets both players closer to their home towns of Brisbane, Queensland; and Kauhajoki, Finland. Well done.
