For his part, Pritzker said he won’t be hosting friends who can’t go home for the holiday as he usually does. But asked whether or not he’d be in the state for Thanksgiving, the governor was noncommittal, saying "that is my hope, but I’ll let you know.”It doesn't matter whether I know or not. I can guess. Thanksgiving travel might be severely restricted for the constituents, and we're watching. I have to wonder if the voters' rejection of the income tax referendum, for which the governor spent a lot of his own money advocating votes in its favor, isn't a consequence in part of public dissatisfaction with the quarantines, and the way Springfield and Chicago politicians evade the restrictions and claim doing so fulfills some public purpose.

THE RULERS USED TO BE MORE DISCREET ABOUT BREAKING THEIR OWN RULES.
If you're Illinois governor J. B. "More Illinoisans have died of Wuhan coronavirus than have Swedes" Pritzker (D - Lake Geneva) you might as well flaunt your privilege.
