Valid 00Z Sat Apr 23 2022 - 00Z Mon Apr 25 2022I think we call this "spring." The way the weather bureau configures these reports, the link will likely take you to different content later in the weekend.
...Significant winter storm to impact portions of the Rockies and Northern Plains into Sunday...
...Severe thunderstorms expected over the Great Plains tonight and from the Upper Midwest to the Southern Plains on Saturday...
...Scattered instances of flash flooding across portions of the Great Plains and Mississippi Valley through Sunday...
...Damaging wind gusts and very dangerous fire-weather conditions are forecast throughout the Central/Southern High Plains and Southern Rockies this weekend...
It's just the usual story in Illinois. There's been a drought since sometime last summer. That might be ending with all the rain that's just fallen, although the timing is less than desirable for getting the spring plowing and planting in.
