Wednesday afternoon, the Milwaukee Brewers brought up left-hander Aaron Ashby to face the Chicago Cubs. It was
not an auspicious major league debut. The sports parallels

The relief pitchers scattered a few hits and allowed no runs of any kind over the remaining 8 1/3 innings. Meanwhile the Bats registered a run in their half of the first, six more in the second, eight more in the fourth, delivering the dagger, and
another in the sixth. "The packers have scored and converted the 2pt conversion. Packers now lead the bears 14-7."
The story Mr Ashby gets to tell about his major league debut is thus "It was not the best outing, but the guys told me they had this."
