WHY NOT QUESTION THE RESULTS OF ELECTIONS?

Despite all the aphorisms about losing skippers blaming everybody but themselves, in sports, there's still a tradition of so doing.  To set the scene, there's a pretty good footie squad at Northern Illinois, and they hosted both the conference title game and a first round national championship game.  The visiting team was from Oakland University in Michigan.

In the 86th minute [Oakland] senior forward Dawson Schrum was handed a red card by the official giving NIU a man advantage for the rest of the match.

After time expired, an irritated Oakland bench made their frustrations known to the officials. The officials responded by handing a post match red card to one of the Golden Grizzlies assistant coaches. The Oakland bench retorted by throwing a chair.

No, I don't know whether that assistant coach has to serve a suspension in the first game of the next season, or what happens if that coach gets recruited by another team.
