WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?

A service called Multistate helpfully publishes a list, and a map, keeping track of the mask mandates and other manifestations of corona tyranny.  Here's the map, as of 1 December.

Notice that in the North Central states, Illinois stands alone, proudly muzzled since before Labor Day.

Has it done any good?  You decide.  According to the data bunnies at the Centers for Disease Control, Illinois is currently at about five thousand infections per day, or roughly three hundred infections, with two daily deaths in a hundred thousand people.  Indiana, with a smaller total population, is at a similar five thousand infections per day, which works out at just over four hundred infections, with two daily deaths in a hundred thousand people.

I ask again, because ask I must, have the ukases done Illinois any good?
