The flag-sellers were present at the Walworth (Wisconsin) County Fair.
Vendors were also offering merchandise at the DeKalb (Illinois) "Sandwich Fair" (which might be the oldest county fair in the neighborhood.)
Salty tee shirts are also available. This is one of the tamer.
To paraphrase a line from Mitch "Shot in the Dark" Berg, the county fair is "sort of like Normal America's daycamp," although sometimes the campers camp over.
Families whose kids participate in the 4-H show circuit probably spend a lot of time on the road, and having an air-conditioned motor home to chill out in, rather than pitching a tent or sleeping in the show barns with the animals has its attractions. We'll have to look at the 4-H efforts before we tap too many kegs, now that Oktoberfest is upon us.
Don't even think of making off with this collector of vintage engines's stuff.
