FAIR WINDS.

The Wizard of Zenda sails to the final horizon.

On a warmish March Saturday in 1987 I went to the Melges Boat Works shopping for a sailboat, and Buddy himself was minding the store. I subsequently purchased a used M Scow from him and enjoyed it for a dozen years; got schooled by his sons and assorted other serious sailors racing it; worked with Gloria on race committee, and enjoyed the America3 America's Cup campaigns, which featured Inland scow sailors in important positions, and used the non-political Koch brother's money.

The Melges Boat Works might have some new winners among the one-design sloops, and the grandchildren are making a name in sailing.  Thanks for being helpful to at best an amateur day sailor.
