DEALING ANOTHER HAND FOR LEASTER IN MILWAUKEE.

No, not in a family owned tavern on Becher Street.  You knew, though, that when the radio station that originates Brewer games made mockery of Oakland's fan base and attendance, the baseball gods would be irritated.
The Oakland Athletics strolled into Milwaukee this weekend with the worst record in baseball.

They walked out with a sweep, leaving behind nothing but a battered, humiliated Milwaukee Brewers team.

In a third discomposing show of baseball in as many days, the Brewers fell, 8-6, to the lowly A's, who looked like anything but in an emphatic weekend-long dismantling of a team that entered in first place.

The Brewers, though, no longer sit in first, however, as a four-game losing streak has dropped them one game behind the Pittsburgh Pirates in the NL Central, a division that someone has to win even if no one seems to want to.
The new schedule, with lots of interleague play and each team playing all the other teams, is odd, with the Brewers and Pirates not yet to have played each other.  That's usually when that mid-season slump manifests itself.  In September, though, there's a steady dose of Cubs and Cardinals, which will give the impression, if not the reality, of a divisional race.  Let's see what happens.
