The Chicago Cubs will likely be a playoff team, although for the third straight season since they recruited Craig Counsell away from the Brewers, their coaching staff and their big payroll has not won the division. There has been a Central Division for years, with good Cardinals or Reds teams being all over the record books, and yet, neither of those teams put together four straight division wins.
There's still a lot of playoff baseball coming, and we'll see how well the Brewers, with a roster of relative newcomers, fare. There is Sprecher chilling.
