The problem with corner-cutters who think they are so clever is that they cannot keep their cleverness secret, which is how that miscreant got caught. (There is an incentive problem as well: wouldn't the dominant strategy be to keep the secret secret, so as to submit stronger answers than those of others not in on the hack?)
