The town of Wielbark, Poland, notes the beginning of World War II.

When my great-grandfather was baptized in the Evangelical Church that still stands along the main street, Wielbark was Willenberg, East Prussia.  He subsequently moved his family to Volhynia, and from there, to Wisconsin, in advance of all of the territory east of the Oder and west of the Don becoming the bloodlands.

May any surviving relatives still in Wielbark or points east enjoy the peace.
