The clip invokes "labor shortages," which may or may not be accurate, the way for a business to deal with a "labor shortage" (or the always-popular "insufficient skilled workers" version) is to offer better compensation and less burdensome work hours.
That noted, industrial robots that don't have to be purpose-built for an assembly line, and might be relatively easily reconfigured and leased out to a different assembly line, are an advance on the automated kiosks that spare diners an encounter with the sometimes uneven service at a staffed ordering counter.
It is no accident, dear reader, that the vendor is leasing these tools at $15 an hour.
