STILL UNDOING THE LEGACY OF PENN CENTRAL?

To this day, the Amtrak map still has gaps in it where the freight railroads were most successful, late in the 1960s, in getting rid of passenger trains, and nowhere in thickly settled parts of the country is that gap more obvious than in Ohio.  There's a self-described "data nerd" living in Ohio who would like to change that.  The map is intriguing, and before you object to Ohio having a lot of agricultural land outside the big cities, note that is also true of Bavaria.  Where there are lots of day trains, as opposed to the two-and-a-half long distance trains calling overnight.
