CHEER UP, IT COULD BE WORSE.

Study Finds:  "Think 2024 has been crazy? Here’s why it still doesn’t compare to 1940, 1968, and 1973."

Yes, I was around for 1968 (Assassinations, political turmoil, war) when it seemed like with each month came a new surprise, and for 1973 (Abortion, peace deal, Watergate, political mayhem) and Stephen King's characterization, in 11/22/63, of the "cold civil war" that almost ripped the country apart during the Summers of Rage,  reinforce the article's point.

That noted, the Democrats convened in Chicago toward the middle of August, 1968, and you recall how that old joke ends:  "So I cheered up, and it got worse."
