Greendale (13-1) set a couple of records in defeat. Junior quarterback Josh Ringelberg completed 18 of 23 passes for 270 yards, which broke the 22-year-old Division 3 yardage record by 40. A huge chunk of that came on a 97-yard touchdown pass to senior Nate Miller, the longest pass play in WIAA finals history for all divisions. The second half belonged to Monona Grove.
