Andrea Widburg provides program notes. "The composition itself comes from Melissa Dunphy, an Australian-American classical music composer based in Philadelphia." No surprise, where and when the performance was recorded, that everyone is wearing a Biden muzzle. "In the video ... the choir from the All Souls Church Unitarian, a 'progressive religious community' in DC, sings the 'Identity Politics' section from Dunphy’s larger work, entitled 'Amendment: Righting Our Wrongs.'" I don't see this 21 minute cantata having the staying power of Bach's.
The comments are priceless. Here's one. "I’ve never heard absurdity communicated in such beautiful harmonies." But as one wag notes, "We ... laugh, and move on ... these people spent hours and hours and hours on this." Exactly. They're miserable, and everybody else must also be miserable.
