AN E-T-T-S MOMENT IN FOOD SERVICE.

Glenn "Insta Pundit" Reynolds tells a family story about precisely when everything turned to s*** at Ruby Tuesday's.  "I remember my daughter’s horror when the French Onion soup — once a signature item served in a baked crock covered with melted cheese — was replaced with a sad bowl with a piece of cheese toast floating on top. Whoever allowed that should have been locked in a closet and fed 1950s British food for the rest of their natural life."

In ferroequinologist circles, the E-T-T-S moment often comes in train with public spending on roads and airports, or some regulatory abuse.  In the case of Ruby Tuesday, it appears that the degradation of the soup was a deliberate choice (spun as a "service improvement," maybe?)  Disappointed diners have rendered their verdict.
