IT'S OKTOBERFEST SEASON.

Last Saturday, despite the college football disaster in Madison, the Oktoberfest at Bavarian Bierhaus in Glendale was well-attended, with the traffic controllers directing automobiles to the overflow parking.  Yes, I've been there before.  I've also cracked wise about Polonia and Bavaria not re-litigating the Polish Corridor on the soccer pitch.  And so it went.  Nebraska football jerseys are unusual, welcome all the same.

There are even challenges for youngsters, of whom there are many, sometimes on the dance floor, sometimes playing Jenga.

I wonder if any of those culture-studies types from Marquette were in attendance.

There are two or three more weekends in Oktoberfest season.  Find yourself an Oktoberfest and go to it.
