Well, that was a quiet couple of weeks away from the internet, wasn't it?

Let the record show that Abby Zimet didn't like it.  "His country's stunned response: 'Bro, how the f**k is this real?' Honestly, we have no idea."  Read between the lines and recognize that she's not aging as well as the current attorney general or Homeland Security secretary.  Power Line's John Hinderaker, on the other hand, notes "Trump Says What He Thinks."  It's a different social media post he's responding to; the sentiments generalize.

Do I approve of this kind of thing? Of course not. On the other hand, there isn’t anything in Trump’s Truth post that I disagree with. We can’t, in any event, change Trump, so we might as well enjoy him. It is particularly fun to contemplate the reaction to posts like this one in faculty lounges across America.

It hasn't been a good quarter-century for the faculty lounge types, and the rot was showing long before that.

The mission?  There's an expression from the frontier, "he needed killing."  Does anyone seriously think that after two score years of unproductive palaver about Iran's now-you-see-it-now-you-don't nuclear program, another few weeks of "peace process" would have changed anything?  That nuclear program needed killing.
