NEVER CHANGE, DEMOCRATS.

Is there a more annoying collection of people who never learned how not to be stupid about being supposedly smart than the Democrats and their willing accomplices in the media?  You'd think after Barack Obama became a laughingstock over "bitter clingers" and his anointed successor Hillary "Elphaba" Clinton talked herself out of the Oval with that "basket of deplorables" they'd learn.

But no.  Recently Katie Couric (why is she still relevant?) went on Bill Maher's show and went right on with the scolding.  "'The socio-economic disparities are a lot and class resentment is a lot and anti-intellectualism and elitism is what is driving many of these anti-establishment [people] — which are Trump voters — so, I think that is a huge problem that we have to address,' Couric explained to Maher, referring to the MAGA movement that got its name from the ex-president’s campaign slogan."  Yes, peddle your technocratic delusions in a less condescending way, that's a winner for you.  "I mean globalization and the transition from an industrial to a technological society — I don’t know if you’ve ever been jealous of someone else or resentful — it is such a corroding and bitter, almost bile feeling."

The populist influencers among the Militant Normals are undoubtedly suggesting she learn how to code.

Those same populist influencers still don't get Bill Maher.  He's long been a left-libertarian, and his inclination to agree with Democrats on Presidential Politics is more about the so-called national greatness conservatives with their nation building wars and the so-called common good conservatives with their traditional morality.  Plus Donald Trump offering such a juicy target.  His response to Katie Couric, though, is straight out of his old "Politically Incorrect" show.

"Not to defend Trump, but to defend the people who still vote for him. Because what they see on the other side, to them, is even more dangerous. Because it's very...closer to home: My kid is coming home from school and he thinks he's a racist? He's five, what have you been telling him? You know, my son thinks maybe he's not a boy...Those kind of things are what they say 'That's why I'm voting for Trump'"

Red State's Nick Arama adds the punditry.

[Bill Maher] may still not get Trump, but he does get that the existential question here. Given that and the madness we see with fully-scripted Biden and it would get far worse if he were given another four years. Maher's words are something to note when other liberal media paints Trump supporters in extremist caricature.

Supporters see the greater order that existed under Trump versus the far left crazy that is now ascendant under Biden, and its' a simple choice. Trump didn't bring wars, he encouraged peace, he tried to protect the border, he brought a robust economy to Americans, he put America first, as a president should. He wasn't pushing us over a cliff with radicalism. It's not very complicated.

Trump voters are bitter, but they're not bitter people. Hillary Clinton qualifies as a bitter person. Don Lemon, Kathy Griffin, Liz Cheney, and Anita Sarkeesian are bitter people. They suffer from an underlying prejudice that blinds them from a reality that is continuously knocking on their conscious minds and they hate it. They can't stand the idea that they're not the good guys. They've gone mad convincing themselves that it's everyone else that's gotten crazy.

They lash out, cry into cameras, obsess over people and events, and double, triple, and quadruple down on their ideas and behavior, slowly driving themselves into irrelevancy.

Think about it this way, dear reader. Consider the results the Jarrett regency and their willing accomplices in the media keep claiming to deliver:  Millions of jobs created!  Lower costs for prescription drugs!  Tweens begging to go to WNBA games!  Landmark legislation!  Why, then, are their lawyers going to the extent they are to keep Robert Kennedy and Cornell West off the presidential ballot?

Then there are the Trump voters.

Trump voters are bitter in that they've been mistreated, lied to, attacked, robbed, taken advantage of, and suffered at the hands of the very people who sneer at them. They're bitter because they've watched the same people who look down at them from their noses, called them racist, sexist, homophobic, and a myriad of other social sins, turn around and take their taxpayer dollars and give them to foreign governments to wage wars against one another, pay off student debts they didn't agree to, and fund the day-to-day lives of illegal immigrants.

They're bitter because they have a voice that's been censored, misrepresented, and lied about for years now.

They're bitter because they wanted a better life than this and they were stabbed in the back by radical ideologues posing as helpful representatives.

We're still over six months until the election, but the post-mortems from people who bought the "normal Democrat" spin coming out of Dementia Joe's basement and will not be fooled a second time could be interesting.

A lot of these Trump voters weren't Trump voters in 2020. A lot of the Trump voters voted Democrat all their lives. A lot of these Trump voters were created by Democrat politicians, media figures, and activists who generated deep feelings of spite in the populace thanks to a mixture of incompetence and abuse.

That group of "anti-intellectual" and "bitter" people that Couric is referring to as "MAGA" are just normal Americans. Once again, Couric is demonstrating her own ignorant elitism that blinds her to the country around her and the people who reside in it. This is the same attitude that Clinton had when she called this same group of people "deplorables."

And she doesn't get it because she is the bitter person she's complaining about. She doesn't understand that she doesn't have feelings of bitterness, but that she's bitter at her core to those who don't think like she does. She's heavily prejudiced and angry at people for daring to not align with her vision of a nation, or even a world, that things like her and her friends. She's offended by it. She's offended by your individualism.

It's people like Katie Couric, he argues, that give meaning to Kurt Schlichter's "garbage elite" order of humanity.

These are the people who think you're too stupid and angry to have any say in any matter. It's people like her who censor you in good conscience, thinking they're doing the world a favor by silencing you, even if you have the facts. These are the people who bury stories or punish news sites like ours whenever the point they start to make about an agenda item is getting a little too good.

Yes, and suppressing popular opinion in the name of "democracy" is unlikely to turn out well. That new Civil War movie? We'll turn to it anon: it matters less the reasons that compel people to take up arms in place of reasoned persuasion and voting, than that when they take up arms, for whatever reason, what comes next will not be amusing.
