Oh, he caught stick for it.
We are a culture that is obsessed with looking good and perfection because it’s seen, we see, that those are the people having a good time. Those are the people that have fame. Those are the people that have wealth. Those are the people that seem to have success. So, people out there trying to emulate it, and I saw this picture on Drudge yesterday of Mrs. Clinton taken in New Hampshire. It’s not a very flattering picture, but it illustrates the toll of the campaign. If she wins the nomination, she still has basically 11 months to go with this, and it takes a strain, and men who have been president have aged more rapidly than others. You can see it! You can see all of this that I’m describing. I just asked the question: Given American culture today, will Americans want to sit around and watch a woman age that rapidly before their very eyes on television every day, as president of the United States? Well, predictably… Because I know how to push the buttons in the Drive-By Media, I even predicted what would happen: They’d take it all out of context. The screen grab from Drudge is available here. Eight years later Mrs Clinton made another run at the presidency, and the years, and the wine, have not been kind to her.
We had the opportunity to ask a similar question about the latest failed Democrat candidate, but she might not have taken James Woods's advice to lay off the sauce. "Harris Finally Releases a Video Message to Her Supporters, and Just How Drunk Was She?"National Review's Jim Geraghty offers a more, shall we say, nuanced take. It's part of a longer reaction to Democrat hand-wringing over the conduct of the campaign, and the party's response, or lack thereof, to the way Donald Trump campaigned. (We have to carry the fight into the local elections, get Normals into the school board and the city councils, but that's for another day.)
Failed Democrat presidential contender and current Vice President-in-Hiding Kamala Harris emerged from her hole on Tuesday, saw a bottle of Hennessy, and ought to have retreated right back into her hiding spot. Instead, she turned on the camera and uploaded the video to X, and now it is our sacred duty to point and laugh. The clip is the funniest part of a longer video.
Harris has spent the last week or so relaxing in Hawaii, but you'd never guess it. Most vacationers go to Hawaii to relax. Judging by the video, she seems to have gone there to drown her failures in booze before giving one of those "Mommy's drunk again" speeches to her kids.
(Don't ask me how I know about those.)
But don't take my word for it — watch the clip yourself and, don't worry, it's only half a minute long. Half a minute of unintentional hilarity and/or tragedy.

The second priority of these staffers and anyone else in the current leadership of the Democratic Party is to persuade everyone — including future clients and bosses — that the race was winnable, but Harris herself couldn’t win it.Of course somebody from National Review is going to take a benevolent view of goings-on in Official Washington. Despite William F. Buckley's aversion to being governed by the Harvard faculty, the Review is full of people who ticked the right boxes and have some hope of persuading other establishmentarians to their way of thinking, Despite that not having worked out so well in this century.
I suspect that is why the Twitter/X account of the Democratic National Committee released a 30-second snippet of Kamala Harris’s full remarks that makes the vice president appear and sound thoroughly, embarrassingly inebriated. (Note that the full ten-minute video doesn’t make Harris look quite so bad.)
We’ve heard for years that she’s a difficult and dysfunctional boss and that many of her staffers hate her. Now, we have definitive proof. Note that the current chairman of the Democratic National Committee is Jaime Harrison and the current vice chair is . . . Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer. That tweet is a primal scream of, “This defeat wasn’t my fault!”
(As I noted last night, besides the sense that you can almost smell the alcohol through the screen and the fear that if you lit a match around Harris she might burst into flame, her chosen message of “don’t let anyone take your power from you” is perhaps less than ideal as a theme during the peaceful transfer of power.)
Red State's Nick Arama also watched the whole video, and he's less impressed.
It's just one long ramble where they praise each other, and Harris pitches a group therapy word salad that doesn't actually say anything. Bragging about raising more than a billion dollars but then wasting it and leaving your people twisting in the wind isn't something to celebrate, and it's an indicator of how bad she would have been if she had won. She said what they did was "unprecedented." No kidding -- no one has ever wasted that much money that fast and then lost so badly into the bargain. But it has provided Militant Normals with no end of fun. See "Back from Vacation." See "Holy Inebriation, Batman!" Forgive the Babylon Bee its trespasses. "Hungover Kamala Harris Gets Sinking Feeling While Checking If She Drunk-Posted Anything Yesterday." There's even a latter-day Fisking, only using social media clips rather than block quotes. "We heard rumors she insisted on putting out this video and this honestly serves as a reminder that she helped Trump beat her."
