The basement improvisations continue apace.  Joe Biden is too addled to even figure out that a through train from Chicago to Philadelphia and New York is possible.  But the people who are scratchbuilding a full scale T1 are raising money to erect the underframe.  "It’s time for our project to enter a new phase: the engineering and construction of a welded locomotive frame for what will eventually become Pennsylvania Railroad T1 No. 5550.
