Think about it, dear reader, you cut down the plants you would like to flourish, usually the grass, and in so doing allow the plants you would like to be rid of, such as dandelion or clover, easier access to the sunlight, and less competition from the grass roots for the water or whatever nutrients you've put into the soil. It's futility, midsummer applications of weed and feed then become expensive ways to undo the situation you've inflicted on yourself.
That's all until after Memorial Day. Thanks for looking in, and enjoy the start of summer, once you've rendered honors.
