TOPPING YET ANOTHER SEARCH STRING. This time, "Wisconsin chili recipe." I must caution readers that my recipe is of the same class of hotness as Real Chili's "Hot with beans" or Chili John's hot. Most of the recipes on the first page of links are what I understand to be close to what I call "camp chili." The basic ingredients for most Midwestern chili, spaghetti, and goulash start with 1.5 pounds of ground beef, onions, green peppers, and something with tomato. The spices and the choice of starch determine the ethnicity of the dish. (In Iowa and Minnesota, it's the choice of starch. Leave out any spice more daring than salt and a quarter-teaspoon of ordinary black pepper.)
