LET'S PLAY SPOT THE LOSERS.

That's a game started around the time of the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks, with strategist Charles Peters writing an essay so titled that now seems to be well hidden to search engines.  Used to be, we played that game with countries.  It's also possible to play that game with states, using survey data highlighted by the latest Power Line Geek in Pictures.

Possibly, "most progressive governor" J. B. Pritzker (D-Lake Geneva) is working on a percentage.

Or perhaps it's an election strategy.  Who you can't scare to death with ineffective business closures, you scare away with higher taxes.  Where the money will come from to prop up the remaining, primarily Democrat voters, remains to be seen.
