And that in loco parentis isn't just for colleges? Brian Urlacher's ex left the courtroom crying for her mommy to bail her out. Bernard Goldberg's 100 People who are Screwing Up America included Rick and Kathy Hilton, who might also be getting a reality check about the consequences of their sometimes excessively involved, sometimes excessively permissive parenting. How can one argue about the incarceration of young, violent black males when a celebri-tard can cry and express emotion distress and suicidal thoughts and be released to her posh home under detention?
The outrage expressed by The Reverend Al Sharpton yesterday was justified. There’s no other reason for Hilton’s early release other than her celebri-tard status.
Roger Hedgecock filled in for El Rushbo today and did a running commentary of the blanket coverage of the Drive By Media — complete with helicopters and everything — of Hilton’s trip to the courthouse and from the courthouse to jail.
If that doesn’t prove we’re back in a 9/10 Mentality, nothing will.
The only thing noteworthy about the Hilton case is that is that we should all be treated equally under the law.
Some perspective. The celebri-tard in question is 26 years old. Isn't it time for her to grow up? Perhaps that's what the judge would like to say.
Many of the troops risking and sometimes losing their lives so that the talking heads can argue the significance of celebrity justice are younger, and many of our war dead do not see their 26th birthday. For that matter, some of us have a Ph.D. in hand, two articles in print, and two more in the pipeline at that age.
