Now comes yet another remake of Murder on the Orient Express, and a youngling objects to the absence of ... Asians in the cast.

The various incarnations of the Orient Express, including the Simplon-Orient Express, the Venice-Simplon Orient Express, the Tauern Orient Express, and the latter day Direct-Orient were all trains linking various European cities and Istanbul, which offered lots of material for Balkan intrigue, as well as opportunities for Westerners to see parts of the Evil Empire from a compartment window.

The compartment, of course, is in a dark blue sleeping car operated by Le Compagnie internationale des wagons-lits et des grands express europĂ©ens.  Perhaps there will be a Soviet spy or an international high-roller aboard.
